There has been a few attacks on Conspiracy Theories recently and a notable one by Polly Toynbee (Parrot Tonee?). The title says it all - A growing state of mind that needs a firm rebuttal. "It is a growing state of mind that, once it takes hold, spreads easily
from small things to big beliefs. It needs a firm rebuttal, even when
it invades relatively unimportant-seeming things - such as was
Shakespeare really Shakespeare?"
The problem is that these critics of conspiracy theories are selective. We have many conspiracy theories that have been proven correct - that there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction, the 45 minutes threat, the so-called ricin plot and there were conspiracies to produce misleading dossiers twice.
I agree, A growing state of mind that needs a firm rebuttal. My analysis will focus on paranoid delusions. How are these "if you only knew what I know" WMDs to be explained otherwise?
